This document will provide Apache Web Server release notes for all operating systems offered by eApps. Please see the section specific to the operating system of your subscription. To get the operating system of your subscription take the steps below.

Log into your Control Panel > click My Account tab > Subscriptions > click the Name of the subscription (with type Virtuozzo Container)> the operating system is listed on the Server section of the page.

CentOS 5
The latest version available on CentOS 5 plans is 2.2.17

How to Upgrade

To Upgrade: Customers with plans running the CentOS 5 operating system can upgrade from Control Panel > System Tab > Applications > Upgrade Applications. httpd-2.2.17-1.el5.eapps must be checked from the list of updates. PLEASE NOTE: If you have mod_ssl installed, mod_ssl-2.2.17-1.el5.eapps will also be on the list and MUST be selected for the upgrade. Click on upgrade and the VPS will be upgrade with these latest versions.

Notes: As of the date of these Release Notes, this version of Apache is PCI compliant. If you are not running on CentOS 5, and want to move to a plan that runs CentOS 5, please send an email to billing@eapps.com and request information about how to make the move.

CentOS 4 and Fedora Core
The latest version available on CentOS 4 and Fedora Core plans is 2.0.51. To take advantage of the most current version, customers are encouraged to migrate to a CentOS 5 plan. For migration details please send a request to billing@eapps.com.
