  • CHANGES/IMPROVEMENTS

Subversion 1.4 is a superset of all previous Subversion releases, and is considered the current "best" release. Anything in previous versions is also in 1.4, but 1.4 contains features and bug fixes not present in any earlier release. Check out the release notes here: http://subversion.tigris.org/svn_1.4_releasenotes.html.

  • UPGRADING - To upgrade to the new version from prior versions, please use the following instructions.

    1. Login to your Control Panel and go to the System Tab

    2. Click on Upgrade Applications (if this is not present, you are already up to date).

    3. Select the latest version of Subversion from the drop-down and click Upgrade

  • NOTEĀ - You will get an error if you attempt to upgrade from a previous version that used mod_dav_svn to allow repository browsing over the web (as described in our Subversion user guide at http://support.eapps.com/hsp/svn). If you installed mod_dav_svn you must remove it before upgrading to the Subversion 1.4. You can add it back later using the instructions in the Subversion user guide. To remove the old mod_dav_svn, you can SSH into your server and issue the command "rpm -e mod_dav_svn-1.3.2-1". You can now install Subversion 1.4.
